Brian Rodriguez started selling online in 2019, flipping garage-sale finds on eBay before moving to Amazon and Walmart. As more people asked how he did it, he founded Passive Automation Agency, and the company grew to more than 40 stores.
When the marketplaces cracked down on dropshipping in 2022, many agencies didn't survive. Passive Automation had already planned its next move and shifted to wholesale, buying from authorized distributors and directly from brands. Every product is vetted before any capital is committed to it.
- Two to three years of sales historyWe study each product’s sales cycle, seasonality and price swings over two to three years before buying.
- Strict buying criteriaA product has to clear a minimum margin threshold before we buy it, or we pass.
- A built-in cushionThat margin is there so that if the market shifts, inventory can be cleared at or near cost instead of sitting on the shelf.

Who owns the store?
You do. The store and seller accounts are registered in your name, and our team operates the store on your behalf under a written agreement.
How is pricing determined?
Costs vary by marketplace and store setup. Our team walks through them with you on your private consultation, and you receive clear terms in a written proposal before anything begins.
What are the risks?
Like any business, an online store carries risk, and results vary from client to client. Past results do not guarantee future performance, and nothing is guaranteed. First sales, if any, typically arrive 30–90 days after launch.
How does an engagement end?
You may end the engagement with 30 days’ written notice, and your store is handed back to you.
How involved do I need to be?
Very little. Our team handles day-to-day operations, including sourcing, listings, fulfillment and customer service. You keep full visibility through your client dashboard and can reach our team whenever you have a question.
Which marketplace is right for me?
It depends on your goals and the capital you’re prepared to commit. Our team reviews this with you on your private consultation and recommends Amazon, Walmart, or eBay based on your situation.
How are products chosen?
Every product is vetted against two to three years of sales history and must meet our buying criteria before any capital is used. Products that don’t qualify are passed on.
Do I need an LLC or business entity?
Yes, each store operates under an LLC. You don’t need to have one already: our team helps you set it up as part of onboarding.
How do I see what’s happening in my store?
Every client gets a live dashboard showing orders, inventory and account health, and you can reach our team directly with any question.
What happens after I apply?
